Gadfly dancers have been invited has guest performers to be part of this great initiative by the talented girls from Alias Project. “How to Make a Mix Tape” combines house, hip-hop and contemporary dance from five choreographers. For this 7 performances art directors Apolonia Velasquez and Ofilio Portillo will be presenting a special excerpt from their highly acclaimed production Unbearable Prospect.

Synopsis:
Dance embodies a language with differences in vocabulary and pronunciation. GADFLY instigates a discussion about perspectives through dialects such as: Contemporary, Jazz, Hip hop, Lyrical, Bboying, and House. Through its creation, the company underlines how individuals face challenges everyday. How we perceive and respond to situations will shape the journey to one universal common “Unbearable Prospect”.

Apolonia Velasquez and Ofilio Portillo will be presenting some new work during the next Bazaar. This is one of the few respected dance showcase events in Canada. It is organized by dancers to provide opportunity for other Canadian dancers and choreographers to showcase their talent! this event is produced by a close friend of mine. Mariano Abarca and ABA entertainment will be presenting The Bazaar at the Opera House.
